Welcome to the Spanish Blog! As you can see, I have been keeping up with our classes and this is your new way of knowing what happens during class and what you need to do for homework as well. Plus, if you are absent from one of my classes, you now have the ability to go on-line and find out what we did. Needless to say, you will be responsible for the work even if you are absent because there are a number of ways you can get in touch with me to find out what we did.

Week of September 22nd

Chris Brown, Rihanna, Barack Ombama, John McCain... oh my! This week was all about introducing new vocabulary in a fun and entertaining way. The next few weeks we will be focusing on learning greetings, introductions, asking and saying how we feel, and conveying where we are from. Plus, just as I did the skit with the puppets, you can look forward to doing similar skits for the class with your new vocabulary. As for now, keep reviewing the new vocabulary words we reviewed in class.

Homework: HW #3 Review and study the new vocabulary words.

Journal Response/Exit Slip: #1 What did you like or dislike about the lesson? How would you improve the lesson? Is there anything you are still confused on?

Next Class: Mini quiz on new vocabulary after in class review.

Mini Quiz: 3-5 questions from the previous classes.

Week of September 15th

Organization, organization, organization! That is the theme for this week. In class you will be receiving the Hagan Ahora (Do Now) worksheet along with the Tarea log (Homework Log) for Spanish class.

Things to remember:
  1. Every time you come to class, take out your Hagan Ahora sheet and work on the new Hagan Ahora by answering the question or prompt.
  2. Number each Hagan Ahora rather than writing out the whole question.
  3. Don't forget to write your new homework on your homework log.
Homework for this week: HW #2 Write a paragraph or draw (and explain if you draw) why it is important to be organized.
